What Probably Brought You Here

Why Retail Isn't the Real Price

Most people only ever see one number for a Business Class seat: retail. So they try the obvious routes to get around it.

• ❌ Credit card points. You often need to spend tens of thousands on a card just to earn enough for one one-way ticket. Slow, and expensive in its own way.
• ❌ Google Flights and Skyscanner. These only show retail cash prices. They were never going to show anything below market.
• ❌ Travel agents. Same retail price as booking direct, minus the time it took to search.

None of that solves for time and money at once. It just trades one for the other, or gives up on both.

Here's what actually solves it: airlines don't run on a single price.

The same seat has a retail price, and it has a price in points. Now, before you say "wait, you just said I don't need credit card points" — I know.

That's not a contradiction, it's the whole point. I'll explain exactly why below.

How I Work

Three steps, always in this order:

Public search engines only show you retail. I scan hidden award availability across airlines and loyalty programs myself — I call this the Award Fare Radar™.

This surfaces long-haul Business and First Class seats in under five minutes. Before I refined this, the same search used to take me days.

The exact same Business Class seat can cost radically different amounts of points depending on which program books it.

Through airlines' partner programs, I use the Airline Synergy Model™ to find the one that charges the fewest points for that seat.

This is the part almost no one accounts for. You don't earn these points over months of spending.

We can just buy the points needed directly through the airlines' frequent flyer program when there are promotions.

Although, this is usually done with the major airlines' partners, because they charge less — the Points Arbitrage Setup™.

There's always a promotion going on as we work with 25-30 different airlines programs.
